Hey kids. As you may have heard, the infamous RAID Projects is reopening its doors, and you are invited. For the uninitiated, RAID is an international artist's residency and alternative art space situated just north of downtown Los Angeles, at the Brewery art colony. For the past decade or so it has brought contemporary artists from around the world to live, work and show under its roof. The gallery has been on hiatus for about a year, but now, under the direction of Ryan Callis, Dan Callis, and Dave DeBoer, RAID is back, and the first new opening is this weekend, Oct 3rd.
This blog here, along with other online sources, will feature insights to all things RAID, including resident artists, current and upcoming shows, all members of the RAID family, and anything else I think is worthy. And who am I? I'm Jason Ramos, and I live and maintain a studio at RAID Projects, along with a couple others, and the rotating international residents.
